I was absolutely engrossed in Anatomy of a Scandal, a clever, scandalous courtroom drama. I felt like I was watching an episode of Law & Order or something similar. The author still manages to make me question myself just when I think I know what I'm doing.

From the first page, I began second-guessing all of the characters, including those I was cheering for. Money, power, and a sense of losing control, as we all know, can turn people against or against one another.

The story was well-crafted, and the execution was flawless. I don't always say this when I finish a thriller, but I was absolutely pleased with the conclusion.

The book's pacing and character growth was accomplished by giving each character their own Point of View chapters, which I really enjoyed, because the reader is constantly given contradictory information that is mixed together before the final revelation at the end.

What more could you ask for than politics, money, influence, and a controversy that leads to a courtroom?
