Anatomy of a Scandal is a courtroom drama told from the three main character’s points of view. First we have James, a man (and prominent politician, husband, and father) being charged with rape. We also hear parts of the story from Sophie (Jame’s wife) and Kate (the prosecuting attorney). I loved how the past secrets of all these characters intertwined and built upon the drama happening during the trial. This is a timely story and seems as if it could have been picked out of a news headline. This story was an edge of your seat thriller with a few good twists and turns, though several parts dragged a bit. If this novel was shortened by 50 pages, I would have enjoyed it more. Overall I enjoyed this novel and am excited to see what Vaughn puts out next!
