Committed relationships take extreme levels of work on a regular basis. Everybody who's been in one or is in one knows this. They're so worth it, though, when you find a caring, giving, loving person who ends up being a real partner throughout life. Such a partner makes all the work more than worthwhile, and makes you feel like the luckiest person in the world.

James is not that partner, unfortunately. And Sophie is not that lucky.

The drawback of a committed relationship with a bad partner - be they unfaithful, criminal, or just plain awful - is that the fallout of their bad choices so often comes crashing down on the innocent person they're in a relationship with.

More than a story about James' indiscretions, I can easily see this being about Sophie's strength and Kate's tenacity. I am excited to meet these women, and see how they grow as a result of the trials brought on by sex, politics, and media frenzies!
