So the excerpt starts on Chapter 2, which I found odd, but then I see it's a go-back to six weeks before whatever the scandal is. The eleven pages are not enough! I wanted to read on to see exactly what Sophie was going to have to deal with in the story. Nice storytelling, so far, from Ms. Vaughan. Looking forward to reading the rest of the story! Three stars only because this was so short. But it feels like at least a four-star, so we'll see!
