Sophie has the picture perfect family. At least that's what she likes to think and, presumably, wants others to think, too. In this excerpt, we see a bit of her idealized life and the beginning of the events that will cause the threads holding it all together to unravel. Although the synopsis for this book is intriguing, the excerpt didn't grab me until the final paragraphs. I think it has promise, but I'm still not sure this is one I would keep reading.
