Quite a mesmerizing book. I was sad to have it end. How was Scott going to get to the sophisticated and slightly older woman who has stolen his heart? Beautifully written! In the excerpt provide, the characters were well developed. The main character, Scott, is American yet worldly and sophisticated. How did he become so all-knowing and sure of himself? How was this American able to navigate the upper crust echelons of European society given the chance encounters he seems to luck into? I am intrigued enough to want to read more of this story and find out what happens. There is history woven throughout the storyline which will be enticing to historical fiction buffs. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book and discover what happens!
