An improbable Pairing is set in the 1960s between a countless and a young man. I have to say, the cover art pulled me in before reading the book. It also is a historical romance, an extra bonus. The story centers around Scott Stoddard from America and Countess de Revere, a widow from France. Their relationship is frowned upon in rich society of that time and adds to their differences. Both lovers are stubborn in their ways and wouldn't give in to each other's wims. Gary Dickson's writing style matches with the characters personalties. His words for vivid images that are to the story and makes it real for the reader. Mixed with historical facts, it tells a beautiful love story for any one who lives a great romance.
