If you are looking for a “beating all the odds” love story, An Improbable Pairing is just the book for you. The story follows a 26-year-old American man who travels to Switzerland to get a degree in international business, and the seven-year-his-senior-rich-beautiful-and-divorced-with-jealous-ex, Countess de Rovere. The story takes readers on a glamorous journey through Paris, Geneva, Gstaad, and Cannes as the couple overcomes the obstacles which block their path to happy ever after. Romance is not my preferred genre, so I kept hoping the story would offer alternate storylines, but it is what it is … a lovely romance novel.
