I love historical fiction and just reading the first few chapters of this book leaves me begging for more! I like that the story is told through the eyes of the young American gentleman, Scott. He pursues a young woman, Millie, who seems to be much out of his league. He is not threatened by this fact and his confidence serves him well! Scott seems to be somewhat of a lucky playboy because not long after his encounter with Millie, he meets another young lady of means, Solange, and once again makes a good impression. I'm just wondering, is Millie going to make it back into the story and how does Solange fit in? I dying to find out!
