Drawn to the cover of the book, it depicts the sophistication of the countess as well as the romance of Paris. The character of Scott is smitten with the countess at first sight and yet he is cautious in his conversations with her, not revealing his feelings. While this is an historical novel, taking place in the 1960s, it is an era that I grew up in and remember the charm and sophistication of the Kennedys. It is an era that I would love to revisit through Scott and the countess.
