The cover is pretty and drew me in. And I enjoy international stories and settings during the 1960s, so all things pointed to me enjoying this first look immensely. While the writing style is polished, and the setting is neatly recounted, I didn't really sink into the 60s, and couldn't seem to connect with Scott.
One thing I really like is the length of the chapters. It can be discouraging when chapters are so long that I don't feel I can find a suitable stopping point when needed. The story (so far) is good, I just wasn't fully immersed.
