Despite my slight indifference toward this book's cover, I was excited to read the sample when I saw it was a historical romance. I'll admit, I would prefer a historical romance set a little further in the past, but I found myself interested after reading the description. While I did find the author's writing to be pleasant, I'm not sure if the subject is right for me, personally. I can definitely see someone loving this book, but it's not the right fit for me.
