Let me start out by saying that I read a lot of mystery/thrillers. My standards are pretty high. This book met but didn't necessarily exceed my expectations for what a solid thriller should be. The writing style and premise grabbed me from the start: it's about a women who needs money and enrolls in a psychological study to earn an easy paycheck. Over time, she is drawn further and further into the research and persona of the person conducting the study... and then things get crazy. I won't spoil it for you, but suffice it to say that you will want to clear out some time once this book gets going. I read it in a few long sittings.

My only complaint about the book is that I didn't think the ending quite lived up to the great start. I still recommend it, but it's not an all-time favorite. There were some characters that I wanted to know more about. Overall, I would read other books by this writing duo.
