Maybe my expectations were too high after The Wife Between Us (written by the same authors), but I was kind of underwhelmed by this one. It seemed kind of all over the place and things were set up in a way that never really paid off. I'm so used to thrillers where a massive twist occurs, I guess I kind of was expecting something more mind blowing. Much of this book seemed very improbable, but I never hold that against any book because really, isn't that why we read? If you're a thriller/mystery lover, then it's worth reading, but if not, it may not be for you. These authors will continue to be must-read for me, despite this lackluster review. I’m still giving it three & a half stars because it kept my interest enough that I wanted to find out what happened next.
