I read this book for book club. It was not something that I normally would choose but I was surprised that I really liked it. The storyline was not something that I had come across before.
Jessica, a struggling make up artist, finds herself taking the spot of one of her clients who she overheard wouldn't be going to a research study that she had signed up for. This study is about morality and ethics. She goes to the location where the study is being held and starts answering questions. Easy way to make some extra cash, or so she thinks. She soon becomes aware that this study may not be at all what she thought it was going to be.
I enjoyed the story and the writing style. The chapters were a good length and it was a nice change to switch between doctor and subject. It was a fast and easy read and definitely held my attention. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a bit of a mystery/thriller type book.
