Like their previous novel, A Wife Between Us, Pekkenan and Hendricks play mind games with their characters and readers. As Jessica is drawn more into her downward spiral, we are left to wonder who is actually playing the mind games? Dr. Shields? Her husband? Jessica herself? I could not push my kindle screen fast enough to turn the pages because I honestly did not know what was going to come about!
I found this book enjoyable and will be recommending this when it physically comes out! Pekkenan and Hendricks are definitely an auto buy forever!
