The basis of the first three chapters of An Anonymous Girl is intriguing. The main character takes a risk and shows up uninvited to complete a survey about which and for people she knows nothing about. As we are carried along with her through the first day of questions it's hard to know why she is so emotional. It's also weird that the questionnaire seems to be 'live,' as if someone is responding to her answers as she types them. It's a bit off-putting that the voice changes from chapter to chapter, from first person to third in a jutting sort of manner. However, I am interested to see where the survey will take her and what impact it will have, assuming it will be big as it's the focus of the first 3 chapters. The authors wrote one of my recent favorites, The Wife Between Us, so that gives me high hopes!
