I received An Anonymous Girl in my December 2018 Book of the Month box and was super excited to read it. I had been seeing a lot of hype on the book through various book clubs on facebook, as well as "bookstagram" accounts in instagram. However, when it came down to actually reading the book, I found it to be slow and dragging. The premise was interesting and had some really good parts to it, but overall, it was quite disappointing. It picked up eventually and I started to enjoy the book, but then I found the ending to be anticlimactic. I'm not sure if my feelings of let down was because of the book being overly hyped or if it was just a subpar book. It was an okay read, but not one I find myself remembering for weeks afterwards. If you like thrillers, give it a try, but I would adjust your expectations to be a little lower.
