I was really excited about this book after reading the duo’s first novel. I was excited too because I love love love thrillers. Unfortunately, this one was just okay. The whole premise of a random study analyzing being good and bad just didn’t resonate with me and because of that I found myself not really caring what the main character did. The key to a good thriller is to make the reader care about what the characters going through so that their are emotional stakes throughout the book. Yet whenever something happened, I just found myself thinking, “Oh that’s a bummer.”

The plot twist was not as exciting or juicy as I was hoping it to be and the ending really left more to be desired. I’m not sure if if I was disappointed just because I had such high expectations, but this just wasn’t for me.
