I put this book down around 50 pages in. I absolutely loved The Wife Between Us and I was so excited for this but the plot let me down. I was never drawn to pick this book back up after putting it down and I believe the fault for me was the therapist storyline. The whole testing and asking questions about the main characters deepest secrets sounded good from the start but as I was reading I found it off-putting. I think the writing was okay but not up to the standard of their first novel. The professor or therapist drove me crazy and I didn't even want to read those parts which were a huge part of the story. I have seen mixed reviews on this one so maybe it was just a miss. I will still check out the next book these authors put out.
