Ok, I’m going to say it. This book is way overhyped. The first half was a little slow. I kept waiting for it to pick up. It did pick up about halfway through and it was suspenseful and I was so intrigued to see how it was going to end and what the twist was going to be. Then it ended and it just fell so flat. I was left wanting it to be so much more than what it was.

I really enjoyed their debut book, and so this was disappointing for me. Especially after seeing all the amazing reviews for it. It kind of made me feel like, did I even read the same book?

Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t the twisty, shocking thriller I was expecting.
