This book is mysterious and stirring from the beginning. You have a make up artist that is working one day and discovers an opportunity to make extra money doing a survey the next day in the place of one of the girls that she is working on. She gets the information off of the phone and proceeds to take her place. Consequently, the survey is about morality and ethical behavior. She has to expose the hidden parts of her person to a researcher and develops a love/hate relationship in the process. Dr. Shields is in a marriage with a man who has cheated on her in the past with a girl that she believes to look a lot like Jessica. Jessica becomes a pawn in her quest to find out the truth about her spouse and becomes enmeshed in the vindictive and strange nature of Dr Shields. This was a good, solid thriller.
