I have read quite a few books by the team of Hendricks and Pekkanen and this one is yet another explosive hit for them. They employ the use of two perspectives and different voices to hold you enthralled throughout the story and to show you how the different characters are both similar and different from one another. It showcases how charm, manipulation, and being able to read other people isn't always what it cracks up to be. There were moments that had me gasping as I read it and there were moments of downright chills that ran down my spine. The story itself revolves around being tested about situations that involve your morality and what you would do if you were encountered with them especially when you know you are involved in a study on morality. Is it just a test that you are trying to pass or are you a truly moral person who will do the right thing in the situations you are presented with even if nobody is watching you?
