Wow. Wow. Wow. Just when I think the thriller book bar can't possibly be raised, an amazing book like AN ANONYMOUS GIRL comes along and completely blows me away. I have no doubt this book will make the NY Times Best Sellers list in 2019.
I really enjoyed the authors' writing styles. The book is written in short, alternating chapters between the two main characters, Jessica and Dr. Shields. Jessica is participating in Dr. Shields's psychological study about ethics and morality. I don't want to say much more about the plot or any of the other characters because you will want to go into this story without knowing too many details so you can enjoy every minute of the unpredictable ride.
Without giving away any spoilers, I will say the ending did not disappoint. There were so many twists and red herrings throughout the story, I was completely blindsided by the twist at the end. The authors did a stellar job of wrapping everything up, and I loved that there were no stereotypical clichés in this thriller's ending like so many others I have read.
