I wasn't a fan of the author's debut novel, The Wife Between Us but after hearing all the buzz it was getting on book tube I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. This book is creepy, but in just the right way to get you to want to continue to read the book.
Jessica is a makeup artist who is struggling to make ends meet so when she hears about a research study that is taking place she decides to join not knowing what kind study it is or what will be asked of her. Dr. Shield's gives Jessica a moral survey and not too long later becomes obsessed with Jessica. Jessica on the other hand is always wondering about her choices morally and whether Dr Shield's would approve.
By the end of the book I couldn't believe what was happening and why. I loved this book and honestly could not put it down.
