Jessica is a make-up artist just trying to get by in NYC. With a big family secret and a tendency towards one-night stands, she is vulnerable to the authority of Dr. Shields. Thinking that she is merely participating in a psychological study, Jessica is swiftly drawn into Dr. Shield's complex relationship woes.
I loved the premise of this story. I have always been really interested in psychology and so the study and then the analysis of Jessica's behavior throughout the story were really interesting to me. I loved that the story was told from Jessica's perspective and then from Dr. Shield's perspective in a way that gave you insight into each of their motivations.
