This book was gruesome and kept me on the edge of my seat at all times. I loved it! The beginning takes off and throws you on a wild roller coaster when around halfway things start to slow down. I didn't quite mind the change in pace because I was still enjoying the plot and the characters were likeable. I liked the small town, funeral home setting and enjoyed Kim's story line a little more than Melody. Overall, I think this was a fun and thrilling book with two female leads that were to die for, literally. I would stay away if you are squeamish or not into a lot of blood and gore. I mean, they own a funeral parlor and have to get creative about making money, so yeah... I enjoyed and will be checking out other works from this author.
