The writing of this book seemed very juvenile, though it attempted to be grown up. I attempted to get through this book twice and just couldn’t even get to page 100 either time. The characters are superficial, with no redeeming qualities and the plot didn’t interest me at all. I really wanted to like this one - hence the reason I applied to win it, but it was not what I was thinking it would be and it was not something I wanted to push forward to read. I hate giving reviews like this, but because I won it, I feel compelled to review it.
I am sure others enjoyed this, as I have seen some pretty good reviews. I do hope the book is a success and is loved. It just wasn’t for me, unfortunately.
