This is the perfect laid back read for summer or a vacation. Was it a page turner? Not really. But it’s just one of those “nice” books with lots of sweet characters. The southern accenting in the text kind of got annoying after a while and some of the storylines had parts that seemed pointless. You could pretty much see everything coming before it ever happened. I normally don’t continue on with books I’m not crazy about because there’s just so many I want to get to, so the fact that I continued shows that this was still a worthwhile book. It just didn’t line up with my current book “mood” I’m in. I’ve been reading lots of thrillers lately, so I’m cpmparison, this seemed slow and boring, but it’s a cute story and worth a try!
