This story is about a small group of people who begin as strangers and become not just friends but family. The characters begin their journey together by staying with a married couple, Si and Dolly, who open their home as a bed and breakfast. Si and Dolly decide to do this to supplement their income in the hopes of keeping their much-loved house of memories. Each character in the book has their own scars and demons they are living and dealing with and they all come to be strengths for each other in different ways.
There was an underlying back-story told in journal entries that became just as important as the present story being told. I actually found myself enjoying that aspect of the story more than the main one.
This book is very light, a bit predictable and although well written; it was just too sweet for my personal reading tastes. If your genre is a fluffy read bordering on Christian fiction then this book is for you.
