Dolly is a hoot - the author has done a great job creating a woman with a huge open heart and a big open mouth - - one that is sure to get her into trouble since she seems to have almost no filter at all! Whatever Dolly thinks about you is readily apparent, either good or bad. Sounds like we have some conflicts brewing already: the worried Illinois couple, the recently widowed man, the mean folks from Reno, Dolly’s dear sister who has moved away, and Dolly’s husband who is building a lake. How in the world does one build a recreational lake in the middle of rural Alabama? Can’t wait to find out.
