The cover is beautiful and makes me long for summer. The detail in this book took me away from cold Colorado to April in Alabama and now I need some tea! The author's attention to detail and description will make this book hard to put down without finishing first. My grandma, who loves to read, will love this book for the time period and setting being in the south. I already want to get to know the characters better and finish the book. Almost Home is at the top of my "to read right away" pile!
