I really loved the ambience in this novel. It is the south and the depression and World War 2 are nearly over. Dolly offers an ambient home with secrets to be a boardinghouse to a group of people that become like family to her. I am extremely interested to see where this story leads. It seems like there is a mystery afoot and I want to see what happens.
