Review of Chris Liebig’s book; Almost Damned, by Steve Carlson
It was the concept of the book that first got my attention. Well, that and
Chris’s writing, of course. I’ve been a fan of Chris and his books for some time now. He always tackles subjects that are just a little left of center and then throws in a little from the supernatural just to give it a bit more spice.
ALMOST DAMNED is that in spades. Without giving away too much... there are marginalized people living on earth that are not able to participate fully in society. Why not? Are they not just as alive as anyone else? Are they not made in God’s image? Why should they be marginalized by only acting according to their own nature? The nature that God gave them!
Chris’s hero sees that as wrong and decides to do something about it. The something he comes up with is nothing less audacious than Suing God himself.
How that plays out is rather fascinating and makes ALMOST DAMNED a very difficult book to put down.
Chris Liebig has capped a stellar writing career with his best ever. Well done!
