I didn't really know what to expect when I picked up Almost Damned. I have not read the first one in this series and was worried I wouldn't understand what was going on. That was not the case, I definitely feel this can be read as a standalone book. It was high stakes, full of twists, and honestly just a great thriller.

While this book was quite short it had everything you would want in a legal thriller. The author obviously knows what he is talking about and it felt like you were in the book with the characters. I did say legal thriller, but it isn't what you are thinking in your head. Almost Damned is about archangels and the resurrection of the fallen angels, good versus evil. It was honestly such an interesting book and I fell head over heels for it. I think not everyone will enjoy it and it has it's own audience, but I personally really enjoyed it.

Almost Damned isn't one of those books you read and don't have to think. You really have to pay attention, but it is so worth it in the end. I was hanging on to every word because I was thoroughly intrigued and loved the plot. This was a really great book!
