I am an avid Emily Giffin fan... every time I pick up one of her books I am ready to fall deep into a story. Usually they have romance at the forefront, however, this one was a little different.

All We Ever Wanted focuses on a family in a wealthy community in Nashville. On the outside, everything seems great, but all of a sudden Nina's son is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl (and taking pictures) and everything comes crumbling down.

Lyla goes to school with all of the wealthy kids, but she is there on scholarship. Her father, Tom, is protective and proud of his strong-minded daughter and is shocked by what happens. Lyla, Nina, and Tom are forced together, and question everything they know while the scandal unravels.

This novel took on family dynamics, sexual assault, and other topics that are such a large part of our culture today. As always, Giffin produced a spectacular work of fiction, that doesn't stray far from what reality is like today.
