My first Emily Griffin novel and I was expecting something really good. This is a story about rich privileged teen boys taking advantage of high School girls while showing little remorse. The lead protagonist, one of the boy’s mothers, tries to do the right thing even at the cost of losing her son. Here’s the problem, the story is just not that good and it was very lightweight. Fluffy, breezy, and basically a highly formulaic read. It just didn’t measure up to other recent stellar books I have enjoyed. I would classify this as a novel greatly lacking in depth. Not bad...just not great. Sexual assault is a tough topic and hard to put down on paper. I won't give up on the author, I think Emily Griffin has a better novel in her yet.
