I was excited to see that Emily Griffith wrote a new book. But as I read... it fell flat and seemed a bit trite. Maybe it's the narration that seems juvenile, I'm not sure. Still I'm interested to see how the story pans out. I'm hoping it picks up because right now I'm a bit disappointed. Even the sense of urgency that Tom felt about something being wrong with his daughter was disappointing when it was only that she was drunk. I don't like the heightened suspense only too be silly teenage situations
