I quite enjoyed this book. The stories of Emily and Elizabet parallel very nicely. Both women are stuck, in their own ways. Emily can't move on with her life and her boyfriend because she cannot face her parent's death ten years ago, choosing instead to wall all her emotions off in regards to them. Elizabet has passed on but she cannot leave this world because she is waiting for her husband (who had died before her). They are connected by an old church and sanctuary in which Elizabet is haunting and Emily is going through the old documents to organize them before the church is torn down. There are many cool stories to read in this book, found in the documents and journals (written by Elizabet when she was alive).

I like how this book is all about the importance of facing fears and letting yourself grieve in order to be able to move on in your life, or afterlife as the case may be. It left me with a good feeling.
