It pulls you from the first page. It’s fast paced and has beautiful descriptions of what is happening. I can tell that this is going to be an emotional book. It’s been 10 years since the death of one of the main characters’ parents and she still refuses to deal with it. I’m looking forward to it being expanded upon.
I also love the character relationships. Only 22 pages in and I know I’m going to have a deep connection to this family and what happens to them. This is a book that no doubt will deal with hard hitting topics and I’m excited to see what comes next. I’m also anticipating how the dual perspective will be. Can’t wait to see the mix of historical and modern time.
