I wish the First Impression excerpt was longer to include the other perspective, not just Emily's. The summary sounds really interesting, switching between someone during the present and someone from the past, and how their stories intertwine. I was enjoying the beginning, though, getting a feel for what Emily is dealing with. I'm interested to see how she learns to cope with her loss after working in the church.
