Wow, I'm intrigued just from viewing the stylistic tone of the words on the cover. "The Costs of the American Dream..." yeah, it's a pricy one, and from an American-born citizen, it's one that feels overrated and not entirely worth it. Here, from the cover, I'm seeing a group of foreign individuals who are undergoing the trials of their cultural beliefs, all while trying to just make it in America. I'm sensing that this will be a great book to hear from the perspectives of those who struggled during the come-up throughout their practices such as "arranged marriages" and citizenship tests, I'm really interested in adding this one to my "historical fiction" (if I could call it that) stack, because I love learning from the perspectives and experiences of others.
