I've heard some buzz around this book and thoroughly enjoy a novel exploring cultural differences besides my own small town midwestern upbringing. Especially novels that focus on a plethora of social norm issues, including drug and alcohol addiction, mentions of repressed sexual assault, physical abuse, Islamophobia, racism and death.
