When starting this book, I knew that it would be a hard read, and not necessarily light weight due to the serious nature of the topic at hand, and on one hand I was not wrong about that. But I was pleasantly surprised with the way the author was able to use their writing style in a way that made everything that was described poetic and enjoyable to read.
I truly would recommend this book to anyone, I think this story is one that could open a lot of people's eyes and minds to a perspective they may have never considered or experienced, or even though about. It is important when reading this book to appreciate the true vulnerability exhibited through this story, and appreciate the author being able to share their true experience to all of use, despite how challenging it may have been. So while reading, keep in mind what it took to be able to tell this story!
