I don't think this one is for me. I found it pretty bland--the excerpt is a portrait of quiet, American family life, with the secret revealed at the beginning that the father is gay. That's potentially an interesting premise, but I guess I'm not too interested in a memoir exploring Americana. I can see it working for others, though.
