Not My Kind of Memoir

I've recently gotten more into memoirs, especially within the past year. However, the issue is twofold here. Firstly, I tend to prefer memoirs in audiobook format (granted, only if the author themselves have narrated it. I think it just adds a whole layer of depth and emotion) and secondly, I like to know something about the author/their story before picking the book up (this way I want MORE, not just going in blind). Two great examples would be Becoming by Michelle Obama and Know My Name by Chanel Miller. This book is printed and I'm not really a fan of the author's written "voice." That, and I have no idea who she is. I think if this memoir was about her father and HIS life, this would have been really intriguing but as it stands, I'm not really interested in this story.
