This appears to be an interesting account of an unusual family situation. It would be surprising and unsettling, I would think, to find out your father was gay.
I know of a similar situation where the father of one of my son’s friends revealed he was gay and wanted a divorce after his wife had their third child. I surmise with some people, they feel a need to try and fit into what society expects, and then finally decide to follow what they consider to be their true selves.
