The cover of this book perfectly evokes San Francisco in the 1970s, at the time when Laura Hall's dad came out to her. Laura's writing is beautifully descriptive and makes me want to learn more about her family dynamic. I can tell that this will be a very emotional read given that her father characterized his homosexuality as an affliction.
