I really enjoyed this book. It hooked me right from the beginning with the premise. The only two black students at a school are suddenly the victim of “Aces,” someone who is sending out texts to the school and exposing the secrets of the two main characters. What first seemed like a harmless prank soon turned into a very dangerous, life or death situation.
It dealt with themes of white supremacy, racism, and homophobia.
The writing of this book was amazing. The story was well built and well though through. It was dark, twisted, and thrilling. I enjoyed every second of this book and honestly couldn’t put it down. I read it in one sitting. We got dark academia, black representation, LGBTQ+ representation, and a chilling mystery all in one book. This is one of the best debut novels I have ever read and I highly recommend it to everyone. Amazing!
