i don't wanna say too much because i think its best to go into this book not really knowing anything about it, but i will say this:
wow this was a stunning debut. it was super compelling and horrifying and the plot was full of twists and turns that left me on the edge of my seat. Chiamaka and Devon were amazing characters and they were both very developed and intriguing. this story immediately pulled me in and i was so sad it was over. this was one of those books that feels super vivid, like a movie playing in your head.
the only complaint i have is that the last 30 pages or so felt rushed and there were a few things that i felt needed to be resolved. there were a lot of different threads woven throughout the course of the novel and by the end some of them were left hanging. i do hope there's a sequel! overall it was an amazing read. this book makes me want to get back into the mystery/thriller genre so bad.
